Storm Season2011 is Here!

Things to Keep in Mind when Hiring A Contractor!

There is a preconceived idea that if a roofing contractor knocks on your door after a storm, they are a storm chaser. Not all contractors are bad during storm season. Most contractors are very good people with good intentions.

If your contractor is from out of town, that does not always mean that he/she is a storm chaser. With the economy, there are plenty of contractors from the South working in the North or vise versa.

Always keep in mind when selecting a company to work on your home, that they are professional, have nice vehicles and treat you and your family with respect.

Check Credentials!

There are some key things to look out for when contracting with a construction company:

1) Make sure they are licensed.

2) Make sure they have pulled the correct permits for your job.

3) Make sure they are ALWAYS OSHA compliant.

4) Check references and ask for work they have done in the past.

5) Check liability insurance and make sure they are covered for 1 million per occurrence.

6) Talk to your neighbors.
